British Manufacturing is very much "Alive & Well"

Pumpflow Ltd operate with a high level of vertical integration. Our design, fabrication, machining, assembly, testing and site installation work is all carried out by our own team of highly skilled and experienced engineers.

One process that we do outsource, is the casting of specialist alloys. The impellers for our “Fish Safe” range of pumps are produced in Nickel Aluminium Bronze (NAB) material.

NAB alloys are an ideal choice for applications such as: Pump impellers and ships propellers, owing to their excellent corrosion, wear and galling resistance, resultant of the alloys complex copper-aluminium adherent oxide surface film, which acts as a protective barrier and is self-repairing, even down to very low levels of oxygen in very harsh service environments.

These alloys are however quite tricky to cast, hence Pumpflow Ltd source such castings only from trusted supply chain partners, based locally in the United Kingdom.

The pump manufacturers relationship with a foundry is always a critical one. From liaising on component design and castability and exchanging 3D drawings for pattern making, foundry methoding and final machining.
